Kjerstin Uhre og Knut Eirik Dahl blog

Gjennom en rekke større by og landskapsprosjekter har kontoret gjordt studier som har til hensikt å utforske og innsirkle nye forutsetninger for urbanisme, landskap og arkitektur. Gjennom prosjektene Helsinki Tampere Visons (spesielt invitert, 1993), den internasjonale konkurransen om Ørestaden i København (2.pris, 1994), Bjørvika-konkurransen med AHO (valgt som utviklingsmodell av Oslo kommune, 2000) og etterfølgende kritiske konsepter og tekster rundt Oslos fjordstrategi, har kontoret etablert seg i en større dialog om byers utvikling.
Byutforskningsmodellen Spillet om Tromsø/Dialogenes by er utviklet av kontoret og presentert internasjonalt en rekke ganger. Byutviklingens År 05/Kronikkens by i Tromsø ble lansert og gjennomført med kontoret som hoveddrivkraft. Begge disse byutviklingskonseptene ble presentert i den nordiske paviljongen på den 10. arkitekturbiennalen i Venezia 2006. 1.prisen i Øresundsvisioner 2040 (2008) sammen med 70°N arkitektur, kan sees som en utvikling og fornyelse av disse arbeidene. Kontorets bygde prosjekter er uttrykk for oppdagelser gjort i dette større bildet. Kontorets prosjektportfolio rommer flere epoker, heri innkludert blå strek arkitekters eksperimentelle scene.

Kjerstin Elisabeth Uhre

Kjerstin Uhre is an Architect [born in Oslo,1967 with family background from Vesterålen], educated at Bergen Architecture School; in Bergen she also studied Philosophical Aesthetics at UiB. She is currently undertaking her PhD at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. She is partner in Dahl & Uhre architects in Tromsø, and a jury member for the North Norwegian Architecture Price. She has been teaching architecture at BAS and AHO. Dahl & Uhre’s latest project, “In the middle of the world, in the middle of Nuuk” was awarded the price for “best Nordic urban plan” in 2011. D&U has, besides built architectural projects, developed design based comprehensive public discourses such as The Game of Tromsø and the City Development Year, and has won architecture competition projects in Scandinavia on urban and regional scales. Most of D&U’s projects are developed in extended and trans disciplinary teams.

Knut Eirik Dahl

Knut Eirik Dahl, 1943, Norway, Architect MNAL and Professor at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape at AHO in Oslo. He is founding partner in Dahl & Uhre (D&U) architects in Tromsø and President of Europan Norway since 2001. Dahl is an initiator and creator of comprehensive public discourses as the Game of Tromsø (City Of Dialogues) and the Year of City Development (City of Chronicles).These open and inviting public dialogues, and competition projects in Scandinavia on urban and regional scales, has established him as a lecturer in cities and at universities.
As former partner in blue line architects (blå strek) and now in D&U he has realized a series of projects which is published national and international. Dahl has been awarded prizes for both buildings and projects on the larger urban level.
